Description Description

Phoenix Roebelenii, or the Pygmy Date Palm, is a an easy to care for palm. The trunk has a diamond texture in the shape of old leaves. The dwarf date palm is a small version of the classic date palm seen in the tropics, and its small stature is perfect for use as a houseplant as it will only grow to be 4 - 6 feet tall.

Remove any fronds that turn brown or yellow. Doing so improves the look of your plant and allows a clean space and more energy for new leaf growth. The brown fronds do not necessarily indicate a problem if it is being watered properly. Like other palm trees, the fronds on your Pygmy Date Palm will eventually turn brown and die.
