Cyrtosperma Johnstonii
$25.00
Cyrtosperma Johnstonii is a tropical plant native to the Solomon Islands in Oceania. It has large, starchy rhizomes and gigantic leaves. When young, its leaves have bright red veins, and as it grows older, it trades this colouration for sheer size.
This plant produces long stems that look like reptile skin with pink brown and red streaks. The petioles also have small dark thorns that give this plant a prehistoric look.
If you enjoy vintage botanical drawings, Cyrtosperma Johnstonii (often labelled Alocasia Johnstonii) is often featured prominently given its unique appearance.
Plants and pots sold separately.
