An exceptionally beautiful and hard-to-find Monstera variety, Burle Marx Flame has thick, dark green leaves. When young, they’re lance-shaped, but as the plant climbs and matures, they become more heart shaped and develop deep slits, reminiscent of a stylized flame.

Monstera Burle Marx Flame is a gorgeous and intriguing variety from famed designer Roberto Burle Marx’s garden in Brazil. It’s believed to be a hybrid or mutation of common Monstera deliciosa.

GENERAL CARE TIPS

This plant will climb to 6 feet or more, and if you grow it up vertically, the leaves can get larger and more eye-catching as the plant matures. For the happiest plant, give it a spot with medium to bright light (within 3 feet away from a good-sized east or west window is ideal). It tolerates lower light levels but will be significantly slower growing.
