The large Julie Pots are wheel-thrown and stamped by hand – persistently preserving an ancient craft.

About Julie Pot
When the designer Ninetta Mariani created the Julie Pot, she exclaimed: “It can’t be done simpler than this!” This was in Milan in 1960, and today we can only concur. Perfection is achieved when there is nothing left to take away from a design. In this simple yet charming pot, your plant will always be the centre of attention.
Each pot includes a drainage hole and saucer, making it suitable for indoors or outdoors. If using outdoors, bring your pot in before first frost in the fall to avoid cracking. When using indoors, it is best to keep your plant in the nursery pot and remove for watering to avoid spillage. High-fired terracotta is durable and permeable, developing a unique patina over time. This is a handmade product, variation between pots and what is pictured here is normal.
Breathing Pots
Bergs Potter’s terracotta pots are made with Italy’s finest clay. The minerals in the clay and its high density give the pots the perfect balance of strength and porosity, allowing the pots to breathe. Terracotta is a porous material, and the evaporation of water through its pores helps maintain moisture levels and airflow, while the clay’s insulating properties help regulate root temperature.
