Pinguicula Agnata 'True Blue' is a highly variable species with a broad range that spans several States of Mexico. This form gets its’ name from the fact that it retains green leaves year round. Most forms of P. Agnata have some red to the leaf, so this is an extreme form of a lack of that colouration.

During the warm humid summer months, the leaves are sticky and carnivorous, trapping and digesting small prey such as fruit flies and fungus gnats. If allowed to dry out more during the winter they can enter a succulent phase where they will develop thicker, water-retaining leaves that are less/not carnivorous.

These plants should be kept slightly moist at all times, but not boggy like many other carnivorous plants. During the summer, they will produce pretty upwards growth blooms given the right conditions.

This plant is non-toxic.
