Simona is a romantic type of Parisian pot that has appeared in countless French homes since the peak of its popularity in the 1820s-1860s. This type of pot was first created in Paris’ Latin Quarter, but – alas! – the original artist’s name remains a mystery. Spotting a delightful pot in the midst of a flea market in Montmartre gave the inspiration to create the Simona Pot. Today, it is made in Tuscany for Bergs Potter.

Each pot includes a drainage hole and matching saucer, which is water-proof. High-fired terracotta is durable and permeable, developing a unique patina over time. These pots are intended for indoor use. This is a handmade product, variation between pots and what is pictured here is normal.

Diameter: 4.7 inches (12cm) Height: 4.7 Inches (12cm), best for a 4 Inch plant.
Diameter: 6.3 inches (16cm) Height: 6.7 inches (17cm), best for an 6 Inch plant.

Since 1942, Bergs Potter have created pots your plants love. Their raw, natural plant pots are designed in Denmark and hand- crafted with love, from the best Italian premium quality clay, at a small, family owned workshop in Tuscany. The clay is fired at very high temperatures, giving the pots a natural strength and a special treatment ensures that our saucers are water-proof, making our pots suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The high density of the clay, makes the pots frost resistant and allows air to the roots and retain moisture due to the superlative quality of the clay, thus giving plants the optimum growth conditions.
