Japanese Shield Ferns are also known as Autumn Ferns for their changing color. The key to a healthy Japanese Shield fern is providing it with warmth, humidity, and moisture. When growing it as a houseplant, one of the best places to locate a shield fern is near a shower or tub in a bright bathroom where it will receive extra humidity and warmth along with sufficient light. Kitchens and bright rooms are also good. As long as the plant is being watered when the top soil starts to dry.

Plants and pots sold separately.

New leaves are bright orange and will emerge from the central area of the plant. Do not touch, move, or handle the new, delicate fronds as they emerge from the centre of the nest. They are extremely fragile, and if you touch them, there is a chance of them becoming damaged or deformed, so be gentle.
