The actual plant that green, black and oolong tea is made from! Camellia Sinensis or Tea Plant is an evergreen flowering shrub native to China. Frequent pruning of the shrub, particularly after it flowers, will promote lots of new growth. Pruning will also promote new offshoot growth, which is important for harvesting the new leaves for tea. This plant will be ready for harvest in about 2 years.
